If I could leave 500 stars, I would. I just left Nordgren Automotive an hour ago, and it's not exaggerating to say that Jeremy Nordgren very likely saved us from having an accident within the next 10 miles of driving our car. Two weeks ago we had brought our son's car into Tires Plus (14350 28th Pl N, Plymouth, MN 55447) to swap out snow tires for regular tires. Our son is 16 and a relatively new driver. He got home last night from taking his younger brothers to a movie and said that the car sounded "weird" so we had him take my car to work this morning. When I drove his car this morning, it definitely sounded weird and the sound seemed to come from the front tires. Knowing I needed to get it into a mechanic ASAP, I found Nordgren by doing a "mechanics near me" search on Google, drove a mile to the shop, and walked in without an appointment. I was helped immediately. Jeremy drove the car to assess it. It turns out that TIRES PLUS HAD FORGOTTEN TO TIGHTEN THE FIVE LUGNUTS on the front left tire. Jeremy said that it was so loose, it probably would have fallen off within 10 miles, very likely causing the car to swerve left into oncoming traffic. My new-to-driving son, who drives lots of miles on freeways to get to Legion baseball games, came so close to being in an accident because of Tire Plus's GROSS NEGLIGENCE. I got chills when Jeremy told me what the problem was and what could have happened had I not brought the car into his shop this morning. Jeremy tightened the lugnuts, drove the car again to make sure everything was okay, and then refused to let me pay him. Simply amazing. Finding Nordgren this morning was a blessing beyond measure. We will be going to Nordgren for all our automotive repair needs from this point forward. What a great lesson to us on the importance of supporting small business owners who really care about their customers. Thank you, Jeremy!! P.S. My husband left his job in downtown Mpls to drive directly to Tires Plus to raise hell. The response he got from the manager was, "We're very sorry. We take this very seriously. How can we earn back your business?" My husband replied that they will NEVER have our business again, that we expect the responsible technician to be fired, and that we will tell everyone we know to support Nordgren and not set foot in a Tires Plus.
